The Bloodlust Lore:
In the days of old, the kingdom of Elvarg was ruled by noble Dragon Keepers, protectors of the sacred dragons and their treasures. Elvarg was a land of endless skies, where dragons soared freely, and the Keepers upheld a delicate balance between the beasts and their surroundings. However, this peace was a facade. Beneath their noble exterior, the Dragon Keepers, led by the royal family, hoarded the kingdom’s power and wealth, exploiting the dragons and its people for their own gain.
Among the royal family was Princess Storey, a cunning and ruthless leader who manipulated her position to ensure the Keepers’ dominance. Her charm masked the cold ambition that drove her to control the dragons through fear, twisting their loyalty into servitude. Storey’s closest ally, Champlin, a sycophantic admirer desperate for her favor, would do anything to please her, though his actions often brought more harm than good.
The vampires, an ancient and enigmatic clan known as the Crimson Fang, had watched from the shadows as the kingdom decayed under the Keepers’ rule. Led by the powerful and just Lord Nyxus, the vampires emerged as unlikely saviors. They sought to liberate the land from the Keepers’ oppression and restore balance between the dragons, the people, and nature itself.
The Crimson Fang’s revolution began with a coordinated assault on the Dragon Keepers’ strongholds. Lord Nyxus, a visionary leader with a fierce sense of justice, rallied his clan and the oppressed citizens of Elvarg, promising a world where power was shared and life was cherished. Storey, unwilling to relinquish her control, confronted Nyxus in a climactic battle, wielding the full might of her dragons and ancient magic.
But Storey’s cruelty proved to be her undoing. The dragons, sensing the sincerity and resolve in Nyxus, turned against her, breaking free from her control. In a desperate final act, Champlin attempted to save Storey by performing a forbidden ritual meant to fuse her essence with the dragons’ power. The ritual failed catastrophically, consuming Storey and transforming Champlin into a monstrous hybrid of dragon and man, a beast driven by rage and sorrow.
With Storey defeated and Champlin lost to madness, Lord Nyxus and the Crimson Fang claimed victory. The kingdom, now renamed Bloodlust, became a symbol of their righteous cause. The vampires worked tirelessly to rebuild the land, forging sacred pacts with the newly freed dragons and creating a fragile but hopeful peace.
In this new age, the citizens of Bloodlust look to Lord Nyxus for guidance, trusting his wisdom to lead them through the trials to come. Together, they strive to create a kingdom where all beings, mortal and immortal, can coexist in harmony—while the shadows of the past remind them of the sacrifices made to reach this fragile peace.
